Introducing Duncan the bag with a face

Meet Duncan Bag, he's a little forgetful (and not very bright) but he has a heart of gold and is very friendly. He's looking for an owner to take good care of him, and maybe take him to see wonderful things he's only ever dreamt of.

He's been wet felted from hand blended merino wool (beautifully soft) with a little needle felting as well, but don't worry Duncan was under full anesthetic and didn't feel a thing. He's 30 cms across at the widest point and 14 cms across at the opening. He's 21 cms deep (not including the handles).

I had a lot of fun with this bag, I've just listed him on Etsy along with this brooch.

and here's another WIP....

The green eyeball there in the middle is marvelous with the beaded details. I have been wanting to try felting. Can you reccomend a good book or website for a beginner? It looks difficult and yet the sculptural effects you are achieve are so wonderful!
