Introducing Gertrude felted monster bag

Introducing......Gertrude.........my latest creation.

Gertrude is a little shy, see how her hair hangs in front of her face, she's trying to hide. However, when she's had a bit too much to drink, she shows her wild side. She has a tendency to poke her tongue out at people and with a little encouragement she'll perform her amazing party trick, not many monsters can pop their eyeball out of their socket!

I had a lot of fun with this, makes a change from flowers, I'm planning to make some more. She's available for re-homing in my Etsy shop

Springtime felted flower bag

I spent the weekend making felt bags, I haven't made any for a while, but I really got into it. Here's one that's finished. I was going to list it on etsy tonight but the photos weren't great so I'll try again tomorrow. I am actually modeling and taking the photo at the same time, how's that for multi tasking!

And here's a little sneaky peak at something I'm working on at the moment.

This will have to be a quick entry as my Son is insisting that I go back and carry on playing trains with him!! Here are some new pieces I have listed on Etsy, I really enjoyed making the tentacle necklace, and would like to take the design further.

I've also decided to open another Etsy shop, so I now have www.fibrespace.etsy.com which eventually will just sell things I've made and the new shop www.fibrespacesupplies.etsy.com will sell textile art and design supplies.

Here's some new wool I've listed, it's a custom blend, I love it and can't wait to get felting with it. I've already started on some balls which look fantastic.

It's sooooo cold today, but absolutely beautiful, couldn't resist taking a walk in the local woods with the camera ( I should have been felting). My fingers are still numb.

Well half term is nearly over, so I'll be able to get back into making stuff! I spent a few days with the kids at my parents house, they live on the East Coast of Yorkshire. We managed an on the beach, it was really sunny and the sea was so calm, so I took a few photographs (tried to be a bit arty with my composition).

My parents recently went on a garden sculpture workshop, and they made my Brother and I fantastic ducks for Christmas. My Dad has since got the making bug and is creating a whole host of birds, can you guess what this is?

I finally got my gocco prints done for the swap, I wasn't sure about the print, but as it was my last screen I had to go with it. I printed on cards, recycled cotton paper and little notebooks. I also added a little gift of Yorkshire tea (Taylors of Harrogate). Hope everyone likes them, it cost me a small fortune to post as my group consisted of 10 from the States and 1 New Zealander !! I've had a few prints arrive already, which I'll show later. It's quite exciting to see what the postman will bring each morning!!

Yay, we have snow, but not really enough for snowmen yet, fingers crossed!

Here's a little cuff I made this week. The green wool is from my recycled felted jumper stash and I've lined it with silk satin, so it's really nice to wear. I think green and red could be my favourite colour combination at the moment, (replacing blue and brown). The cuff's gone in the etsy shop, but if I go anywhere nice in the near future that calls for dressing up I might just have to nab this for myself.
