About me

Hello and welcome to my website, I'm Beth Connors a feltmaker from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I discovered felt making not long after finishing my degree in textile design at the University of Leeds. It's main appeal at the time was the fact that it required very little equipment and could easily be done at the kitchen table. However, I have grown to love feltmaking with a passion because it is such a wonderfully versatile and exciting craft. Recently I have started to consider the effect my work has upon the environment and this has led to the majority of my new pieces being made either from natural fibres or coloured with natural dyes.

I spend my days in the studio at the bottom of our garden creating felt brooches, crafty kits and monster bags, amongst other things. I am also working towards my level 3 Felt Making, City and Guilds qualification. As well as designing and making I am a qualified teacher and run a number of felting workshops throughout the year.
